New Communication App – Important Information for Parents
Chapel Allerton Primary will begin using a new communication app in September 2016, called My Ed. This app will replace our current texting system and also has the following exciting features:
Parents will be able to keep up to date with their child’s attendance details, which are taken directly from school and updated on a daily basis. You can also contact school free of charge via the app to inform us of any absences.
Permission slips for trips and other events will be sent via the app, which can then be completed securely and returned directly to school.
My Ed App – How to install onto a smart phone or tablet
Please ensure school has your correct mobile number before beginning this process – this will allow you to access your child’s information.
Go to App Store or Google Play
Search for My Ed
Once the app has installed make sure you click OK to get notifications
Search for Chapel Allerton Primary and select
Enter your name, mobile number and email address
Press ‘link account’ – this allows relevant access levels
Enter the security code into the app
Click ‘create account’
After 24 hours you will be able to see information relating to your child.
It is important that parents/carers sign up for this app so no important information or text messages are missed!
