SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCIES

 

Chapel Allerton is a vibrant and diverse area in North Leeds.  Our school is central to the local community and we relish the challenge of supporting all children and families to achieve their full potential.  Chapel Allerton Primary was graded Good by Ofsted and pupils make excellent progress to achieve high standards. 

 

We wish to recruit two talented and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants.

 

One post is to work in Year 4 with a child who has ataxia, epilepsy and speech and language needs.  This role will involve moving and handling and intimate care.

 

The second post is to work in Year 1 with a child who has speech and language needs, delayed development and autisitic tendencies. 

 

Both posts are to work 8.30am - 3.15pm every day and will be temporary in the first instance (until 31.08.20), to start as soon as possible.

 

You should have good behaviour management skills, have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff, and be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.  The successful candidate will join a team of caring, hardworking practitioners and be both supported and challenged to enhance their skills.

FOUNDATION STAGE TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY

We wish to recruit a talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in our Foundation Stage.  The post will be to start immediately, and work until the end of this academic year (in the first instance).

 

The Teaching Assistant role involves supporting the teacher, working with individuals or groups of children and delivering intervention strategies.  You should have good behaviour management skills, have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff, and be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.
