Annual Science Events in school include: Science Day, Science Fair, Science Careers Market and Space Night.
Science Day - A thematic approach to science lessons which enhances real life application.
Science Fair - encourages parents and children to be curious and explore scientific phenomena together.
Chapel Allerton Primary School Science Career Market. Each year, Chapel Allerton Primary runs a Science Careers Market. We invite parents, local businesses and STEM ambassadors from Leeds University, all of whom have a wide range of scientific jobs, to come to talk to our children about what their role entails. This is a hugely anticipated event in our school calendar and has been running every year since 2016. We welcome parents and volunteers from our community so if you have a job with a scientific element and would like to get involved, please do contact school. You too could help to inspire some scientists of the future!
Space Night - a great way to interact with our parents and give children the opportunity to share their learning in a purposeful way.
The children enjoy scientific trips to: Meanwood Valley farm, Harlow Carr, The Deep, Leeds University, Thackray Medical Museum and Gledhow Valley Woods.
